Protection you need
Projectile, arrow and melee protection is read per hit area and simply adds up as you layer items — two 20% pieces on the same area give 40%, not 36%. Explosion, radiation, cold and bite are whole-body figures in Rust, so they ignore the setting above.
Materials you have
A slider at its maximum means an unlimited supply. Loot-only and otherwise unpriced acquisitions are tracked separately and are never treated as free.

Best kit
Set at least one requirement on the left. The kit updates as you drag.
Whole body
Explosion, radiation, cold and bite are whole-body figures in Rust, not per-area ones, so they sit outside the map.

Known acquisition cost
Why this kit and not another
Kits that clear every requirement first minimize unpriced loot or unknown acquisitions, then weighted known-material cost, then maximize protection, and finally minimize piece count.
